So as some have read, I registered for some things at BBB yesterday and was confused about some plates... Im thinking its a bit crazy that the same plates on BBB for 200 (mikasa parchment 42 piece) was 400 on macys
Has anyone noticed any huge differences in price between the 2 stores for the same stuff??

Re: Another registry question...
Macys regular prices are always higher but remember they always have a sale and send tons of coupons to their customers. I got my everyday lenox butterfly meadow dishes for 50% off plus an additional 10% off bc I had a coupon at Macys -- everywhere else they were regular price.

I did BBB because even if the prices are the same BBB has the 20% coupons AND you can return gifts for cash. At macy's you just get store credit.

Yes this is why I didnt register at those places....BBB has great prices and you can always use a coupon. The other stores you have to wait and hope for sales.

I've heard this, but many plates at BBB have to be ordered online so if your guests want to shop in store, they may not be able to get some of these.

Re: Another registry question...
Macy's is always more money. A freaking juicer was like 29 at BBB, but 39 at Macy's. Why???
I'm only registering for things at Macy's that CANNOT be purchased at BBB as well. It's just ludicrous.

I always hear Macy's is so much more expensive but I knew I wasn't going to register there so I didnt even check it out. 200 versus 400 is a huge difference!

Huge, especially when you need EVERYTHING!!!! Big reason why my reg is soooo long and several pages on BBB. Only place I registered at but, you have seen it and know

Re: Another registry question...
I am registered at Bloomingdales and BB&B and I find that almost everything at BB&B is cheaper. Especially my Lenox china...it was like $50 cheaper per place setting at one point!

actually I registered at macys and BBB, half and half, but then I got in email that most of my macys stuff had a chance of being on clearence and eventually being discontinued, so I left a few things at macys, but switched almost everything to BBB, plus like you said the price diff was big, sooo weird

I noticed the same thing BUT macys ALWAYS has the set on sale...usually for 200 and soemthing but sometimes less... my dad got it for me for Christmas for $160... with macys things change every week so I guess it just depends... I was trying to help but just realized I probably made it more confusing
