Ok! I plan to have BBB be my primary place because they have a huge variety, but I'm wondering if one place will be enough.

For people who have two different registries, what did you use each one for {appliances for one, china for the other}? examples please! TIA!

edited for clarification

we used both macys and bbb .... put china on both, there were some pieces that one had that the other didn;t. ... I posted links to both on my website (along with a link to a 20% coupon to bbb) so people have options

We went to Macy's 1st and registered for everything we would want there, then to BBB and did the same. We then went home and looked at prices since both carried a lot of the exact same stuff. Anything that was much cheaper in BBB got taken off of Macys and visa versa.
There were many items in Macys as far as kitchen stuff and certain pieces the china set that we picked that BBB didn't have so those stayed on Macys where as towels and certain other things stayed on BBB.
When it came to things that were similar between Macys and BBB, like the fact we had two different vacuums and toaster ovens picked, we researched the models on line and picked one. We then did the same with the differences in style between frames/ vases and other items.

Next we went to William Sanoma and registered for stuff there that we specifically wanted that was not on either of our other two registries.

It was a lotta work, but I think it was worth it. I also kept the original copy of items we registered at both stores so if one store discontinues something we can add it back on to the other registry easily.

I am only doing BBB because like said before its easier to manage one. We picked all our china and stuff from BBB. Also Macy's isnt doing so hot right now so Ill just stick with BBB.

BBB, Bloomingdales, Crate and Barrel, and a few things from Tiffany's. Most of the stuff is on BBB though! I absolutely LOVE BBB!
