About how much did you tip on a trial? Is there a certain percentage, like 15-20%? I'm really bad at tipping and usually overtip. Thanks!

Re: Another tipping questions on trials
There's no need to tip at all on trials. You are already paying them for their time. You only tip if you use them on your wedding day (provided you are happy with their work). Tipping isn't mandatory. And, think, there's so much money you are putting out already; only tip when it's really necessary

I went to Jennifer from Fairytale Makeovers for both hair and makeup trials last week. I tipped 25%. (She did a really great job.)

My rule of thumb is, tip if you feel they deserve a tip. In regards to a percentage, it depends on the cost of the service, I feel, that you are having the trial for. If it is a really inexpensive trial, I see no harm in giving a little bit extra if you are really happy with their work, or of they did a little something extra for you.
Just remember, people who work in any tipping business are very appreciative when they do receive that extra validation that they are providing a good service (usually in the form of a tip).

I tip 15-20%, as long as I'm happy w/the service. I'd especially tip if I was going to use the person on my wedding day-I wouldn't want them to think I'm cheap
