another tux question

we moved out of NY...we now are in NC. Question is if we go next week...yes i have 7 months to go but problem is we wont be back in NY again till late November...(wedding in early Jan) now id go then but since its only goin to be for thanksgiving weekend..i really dont think we have time?! So do you all think we can do it now...and just have the guys go sometime in the next few months to get fitted?!
Also whats the avg cost to rent them??

Re: another tux question

We did this 7 months in advance, just because we wanted to. Picked out everything. Guys will go get measured in the next couple of weeks. My guess is avg price is $125. We used Tuxedo Park in Carle Place.

Yes, I think that would be fine. Just explain your situation to them. Just pick out what you want, Give them everyones names and numbers.. then the guys can go and get measured and then fitted while youre in NC.

Re: another tux question

We just went through the tux motions for our October wedding. We're using Tuxedo Park and the groomsmen are paying $150 each. Since they all live out of state Tuxedo Park gave us measurement cards to send them and said they can take them to any tuxedo shop for measurements (it should be free as a professional courtesy) and send them in. Also, they do their alterations on premises at all times and they said they guarenteed they would be able to make any last minute changes necessary.

I completely relate to this. There's NO WAY this was getting done w/o me, or I was letting FH do it alone and choose !!!
