another tux question (I thought of when reading other post)

OK, we're thinking white for FI, probably a platinum/silver vest for BP (since none of the colors avail will probably match the BMs).

we have my dad, FFIL, and my brother who will also be wearing tuxes, not in BP.

what style do they wear? they won't have white/silver vest. a black one would probably make them look funereal??thoughts/suggestions????

its probably silly, but just wondering!

My FFIL is wearing a black long tie and a black vest. My dad and FFIL will not match. My dad can wear whatever tuxedo he wants.

I let them choose what they wanted to wear (that is everything but white). They all choose black vests and ties/bow ties.

that's what i was initially thinking to do (black tie/vest), ok, i feel better now!!!

yea, will let them pick the style, just wanted to see what to do color-wise!

my brother & dad are the types that they would rather be told what to wear in that arena than have to pick it out themselves.

I was just discussing this with my dad on Saturday.
I was thinking of having FH in silver/grey/platinum, something like that- vest & long tie, and Groomsmen in black, vest & long tie.
FFIL has his own tux, with a black bowtie & Cummerbund & will probbably where that.
I could get the same for my dad, but then I though they'd look too much like the band?

Is that silly?

ETA: BM also owns his own tux, i don't remember what accessories he has- probabaly black bowtie & cummberbund. CANhe wear the tux, but with diffent accessorires, or should he rent the smae as the other GM & FH?

maybe the BM could get a vest/tie, to match rest of BP so he doesn't look the same as FFIL? and maybe he could get distinctive flower or extra flower in his boutinere (however you spell it) to make him stand out?

just an idea...

FH is wearing platinum (he's very pale so white makes him look washed out).
The groomsmen are wearing the same vest as FH, but in black.
I told the dads that they can wear any vest they want, as long as it's not too flashy (my Dad has to be told these things or he would wear something crazy!)
