Another 'what does/will your child call' question : )

My mom doesn't want to be called Grandma, or anything that sounds like it. My own grandmother is 'Nana' so she doesn't want that, and Patrick's mom is 'Nanny' to his nieces and nephew, so that's out.
Any idea as to what the Lima can call her??

No, my family is irish, like off the boat. I don't have a clue where we got that word from! I'll have to ask my mom. I do know the irish word for grandmother is Seanmhathair (shann-wahr; shann-wah-huhr) and Maimeo (mamm-o) is granny or grandma. Oh well, I like the sound of mema better.

Well Patrick unfortunatley only as the one grandparent we call Johns mother Granny.

My Niece & nephews called my parents -Grandma & Poppy. So if Patrick sees photos of them that's what I call them.

My grandmother was Nana

When my neice said Grandma, it sounded like Eema. It stuck. We later found out it means Mother in Hebrew.
