Another wow kinda day--kinda long
This morning my MOH and I went to RK bridal...yep ummmm no comment...it really ******, it was raining like 20 minutes before and they insisted everyone take off their shoes, our feet were dry but they had women following us to make sure our feet were dry
Then it all downhill from there, you put your name on a sheet and then i was just confused then one woman with a nasty attitude told me to read the sign saying pick out 5 dresses. Mind you the dresses aren't in alpa order, nor do they have names on them, just price and size! It's funny I tried on the Victoriana yet again but this time it's didn't look great...it was 4 sizes too big and she didn't put the clamps or anything, so I just had to IMAGINE! I realized though that the other girls there were having a much better experience, their sales person didn't pick out dingy and dirty dresses saying 'it's brand new we just got it'...I know I am young but I wasn't born yesterday plus I have Maggie Sottero site permanently embedded in my mind.
Then I went to my dorm and only moved half of my things out. However I did have a meeting with the director of financial aid and it turns out that of my 47,000 dollar tuition I only have to pay 1600.00 so I am thrilled
My paper problems (invitations) have somewhat been solved, someone got back to me telling me that they can make the pocketfolds in the color and texture I want, for no additional charge
which means I don't have to diy my own pocketfolds!
Then I had some really great Calamari at an Italian restaurant
So yep that was my day and my experience from RK bridal!
ETA: Ohh and my MOH and I are really geeky, while most college kids are getting wasted thursday through sunday, we watch Ace of Cakes on Food Network. I told her that I heard that the cake from Westbury Manor isn't that great and then I showed her cakes by Jay (he was also on the Food Network challenges) and she told me not to worry about it, she will pay for the cake only if we get it from him! I warned her Jay's cakes are 6-8 dollars a slice and she shrugged it off saying she thought it would be more! That's just another pair of shoes for that girl! So I am going to have a funky mad hatter cake to shake up my neutral colored wedding
