Another year...(Long)

Hello Ladies,

Just needed to vent a little. Its looking like we might have to change our wedding date.. .

Im sure many of you guys are aware of the American Home Mortgage Bankruptcy and we were all let go. That came at a time when we were actually getting some wedding planning done (FH travels a lot).

FH just had got through with something else to help us save and I was going to volunteer for more hours to help contribute to our wedding savings.

We are paying for this ourselves and now Im not sure what to do. I didn't imagine getting married and planning a wedding could be this stressful and to top it off not working is making me crazy stressed!!!!

I didn't think it would be this hard getting back into the work force but Im assuming since it was so much of us that employers have a lot to choose from and leads are scarce.

Im trying to pretend that things are okay and Im not worried but I cant really sleep or do anything other than think 2 steps forward and 10 steps back...

FH of course is like' don't worry and let keep truckin' but I don't think he's from this planet!!!

I'm sorry for the long rant here but I needed to get this out assuming it would help my confusion and state of mind--- for however long I still have one!!

And definitely let us know what line of work you are in, we may be able to help. Can you get a temporary job in the meantime? As a waitress, bartender or something? I hear you can make some nice cash doing that.. for the time being. You would still have time to interview and look for jobs in the daytime if you did that.

OMGGGG - I really might be able to help you. Do you have experience using Macs? My FH is in advertising, and the have a BIG help desk/IT department because everything is done using computers. They use both make and PC, so you'd need to be proficient in both. Are you?

I am so sorry two friends worked there so now they're both out of a job and their wedding is in november.

I did get an FM recently from another LIW'er who also had worked there and saw that 2 friends worked there also so she gave me info about where she is working now and said she would love to help any former co-worker, so if you want the info let me know

awwww i feel for you sweetie ~ If I could change my date I totally would but being so close to our wedding date we would loose to much money to cancel ~ My FH worked out American Home Mortgage 2... so I feel for you!

Best of luck to you!!! you WILL be fine! remember the important things in life - which is hard to do when stuff like this happens i know!! but life is about the people around you - the love that you share with them and the people who support you. you WILL BE FINE!! please please please...do not loose sleep over not having $$ for flowers, placecards etc etc...this is silly! you have the man of your dreams - so the 'party' gets put off! it's alll going to be ok! i'll keep my ears open for any help desk positions!
