My friend is about 7 weeks pregnant and just found out that she has strep throat.....the docotr prescribed amoxicillian and said it was safe to take.....did anybody else ever have an infection and need to take antibiotics when pregnant......especially in there first trimester? Is it safe for her to take the medication. Thanks
amoxicillin is very safe - but even strep is self limiting and will go away eventually without it - but really, it's a safe one
I took amoxicillan when I thought I was pregnant so I did a lot of research - it's perfectly safe while pregnant. No worries!
i am currently on amox. for a severe ear infection. and i am 11 wks preg. not to worry. its one of the few things you can actually take while pregnant
I took amox. twice in my pregancy so far. Once in the first trimester for a crazy ear thing I got and once in the third trimester for a bad sinus infection.
