Have any of you had anxiety with all the wedding plans. I don't know if it is making me a weak person, but lately, especially this past weekend, I have been having anxiety attacks. I just feel like things aren't going to get done..
Anyone else feel that way? Or am I going nuts?.
(PS - I am also pmsing)

Re: Anxiety
Ang, Do not stress. I think it's normal to feel a little overwhelmed with everything, especially since your day is fast approaching. Maybe just take a break for a week and do nothing related to wedding planning. It also maybe PMS...it does get the best of us. Hugs to you!!

I do not know how people do it. You are getting married in 2 months.. How nuts is it for you> What do you have left to do?
We are having issues right now with the RD. FMIL does not want to have it near the ceremony site, nor does she want to even attend the rehearsal. She doesn't understand why she needs to be there. WHAT IS THAT ABOUT?
I could probabaly do another board about this..

Re: Anxiety
Totally, anxiety attacks can be scarey. I use to get them all of the time when I was depressed years ago. With wedding planning, it is completely normal. I feel like things aren't going to get done or if I don't book a certain vendor on time, I might not get the ones I want. In the beginning of the planning, I was driving FH nuts with looking for halls, church etc...
Just try to relax ok sweetie, things will calm down.

Re: Anxiety
I am so sorry that you're having panic attacks! It is completely normal to feel overwhelmed and anxious about planning a wedding. I am a psychotherapist, who is also planning a wedding and my anxiety is through the roof. I love reading when someone posts a wedding nightmare - which is also anxiety related. I think getting married is one of the top five on the list of most stressful life events (I think going to prison is also up there - so try not to do anything illegal before the wedding!). I comfort myself by thinking about what would be the worst case scenario - the flowers don't come on time, oh well. I also keep lists of things that need to be done to manage the anxiety. I know everyone says this should be fun - but I'm with you about the anxiety and it stinks! Also, I'm not a medication pusher in anyway, but if the panic attacks become debilitating, there are medications that can help for right now. You will definitely not feel this way when it is all over!

Re: Anxiety
I had such anxiety for 2 months, that I lost 10 pounds!
Once I had everything booked and all of the plans at least thought through, I felt much better.
I think it's totally normal. Try and figure out what exactly is making you stressed and writing out a list of what things you can take care of. Give yourself a schedule and stick to it!

You have to think about what is important. I want to do menus and such and now that it is getting close...who cares really?? If i do not have the time, it won't get done. I have been going to the gym a lot lately and believe me, it has helped tremendously with stress!! i feel like a different person. Even FH says I am so calm. Maybe try to exercise or something?? Ang, just relax and think about what this time really means. Dictate to others if you can!! It will all get done! don't worry!!

Re: Anxiety
ALL THE TIME, I freak that I'm forgetting to do/book something major. I also feel like things won't get done. Between work, and being a bm in a friend's wedding, I hardly have time to breathe much less do wedding planning.

Re: Anxiety
Towards the final stages (last couple of weeks and days) I just wanted it all to be over. Once it was over and I could resume my life (just barely), the feelings subside and you and your husband can enjoy each other. Deep breaths!!!!

Re: Anxiety
It is just one thing after another, ya know? My mom just called and tried to make me feel better by telling me that she bought paper for the direction cards. yeay!! I dont know what i would do without her.
I guess once i actually finish one thing, instead of only finishing something half way, maybe i will feel a little better.
I appreciate all the hugs, and it is nice to hear that i am not alone. Thanks so much you guys!

!
I cut down my anxiety by minimizing my interactions with the FILs - I know that sounds mean but every time I see them they say something re: the wedding that pisses me off (me and you could fill a board!)! Try to take whatever the FILs say with a grain-of-salt or you will lose your mind (I know!)
