I get really really anxious about things but I don't think I have 'panic attacks.' How do I know if I have 'normal' anxiety or if I'm 'too anxious' ?

I went to talk to someone a few times in college at my university health services and it was totally worthless.

An anxiety attack feels like you are going to have a heart attack and die. It's the worst feeling in the world. Your body is literally telling you that there's too much going on. Anxiety can wreak havoc on a body. If it's really bad you can ask your doctor for xanax to help you get through it. Nothing wrong with that. Xanax helped me get thu the worst time in my life.
Hope that helps!

There are a lot of other medications that help too. Not to mention non drug related treatments.
I have AWFUL anxiety... and when i first walked into my birthday party i thought i was going to DIE. literally. I couldn't stop shaking and my heart was pounding so hard i thought it would explode.
only you know if your anxiety is TOO much. but chances are...if you think you have an anxiety problem, you probably do. talk to your Doc about. sometimes just talking about it can help.

I was on the train yesterday and I felt like throwing up, and I felt like I was going to faint, I dont know if that was an attack of some sort but I felt like my heart was going to fail on me. FOr a week now my heart has been beating soooo fast and feels like its going to come out of my chest, I dont know what it is, I have to go to a docter. I also drink alot of caffeine throughout the day and I can go without eating for many hours. Thats so bad. I have anxeity too but on weird things, it depends. You will get over it. Its a horrible feeling

I unfortunately suffer from major anxiety - mine manifests itself in chest pains, which as you can imagine is extremely scary. I just recently started taking medication for it after years of suffering, after finally finding a doctor who would listen to me and take me seriously and who convinced me that medicine would help. It is an actual illness that is very real - please take care of yourself by talking to someone. FM if you need anything!

I've been taking medication for Panic Attacks/ Aniexty Disorder for years now. I used to get it so bad I would pass out or not be able to eat/ sit still/ sleep for days. Just know though that a person can have General Aniexty Disorder without have Panic Disorder. Panic Disorder is when you go into fight or flight mode, and the adreneline kicks in from the fear.

My best friend worries about everything to the point it has made her very ill. You definitely should go see a professional about it. She did and it has helped her immensly.
