Any 05'ers thinking of getting a day of coordinator?
Hi Ladies, I am going back and forth on this one. I feel like everything will be planned and ready to go but it would be nice to have someone oversee everything. I have contacted Elaine Deluca but she was $1k just for the day of and a few things beforehand. That price was way too high. Then there is Laura from LA Productions. I have read she charges $200 for the day of but she is so hard to get in touch with. I have called her a few times with no call back. I don't want to have a coordinator that I can't get in touch with. So with a recommendation from Jen (pookiesangel) I am going to meet with Rosalie from Expressions Weddings. She is in the middle when it comes to pricing. So anyone thinking of getting one or have one?

I'm thinking of getting one. Rosalie is coming over to the house on Saturday for me to look at invites. She seems really nice.

I think my hall actually provides one. But if not, then no - can't afford it. Besides, isn't that what the bridal party is there for

No question is silly !!
He/or She can assist with finalizing vendors working with yr BP at the hall, making sure favors are in place ...you know the stuff that we agonize over & want to be perfect
You can make a list of what you want them to attend to
for me - i more ocncerned abt the 'must take' pics

I'm actually using Elaine--she is expensive, but I was quoted twice that much from someone in NYC. I just wanted to go with someone who I absolutely KNEW would be on top of things, without a doubt. Because if I wasn't 100% sure about the person, I'm the type who'd be running behind checking on every single thing.

You can also check out Jodi from Simplicity Planning. She's been recommended on the boards before too. I met with her and she is also very nice, but I haven't decided yet if I'm getting one or not.

Yeah, i'm thinking of getting one to, but I can't see myself paying $1000 for someone to just oversee work that I have done.
Umm, is it true that when you use a wedding coordinator that they should at least save you their price in booking vendors?

i am thinking about it too!!! from what i have read on here, they seem to be sooo valuable... i guess i will play it by ear and wait a little while...laura from la productions would be one of my first one's to meet w/ though because of all the great things i hear about her!
