I bought this little step stool for my niece and I want to paint her name into it. The only problem is it is finished already. I tested the acrylic paint I have on the side and it comes right off even after it dry’s with a wet cloth. What else can I use?
Can you use a marker? Like a pretty colored Sharpie? Just a thought.....

Re: Any artsy people out there?
You can probably use a paint marker, but be really careful, they drip...

Couldn't you just use the scrapbooking stickers or rub-on letters???

Humm I'm not really sure? I'll try and find out about the marker. I don't want to use stickers because they'll come off. I already drew the letters on in pencil i just need to color it in. Maybe the marker would work....i'll need to stop at an art store. I wish I knew of a place in NYC that would just do it for me...but I'm totally clueless.

check ot michales they have a ton of rub on transfers... but if you use them i suggest using some kind of clear coat to seal them on.
or you could sand it and prime it and repain it however you like.
