Benkerts in Centereach is wonderful. All of my relatives in Queens and NYC require that I bring something from their bakery when I go in for a visit.

Audry's in Sayville.
I have only heard great things about them! I would probably have ordered from them if my cake wasn't included in my package.

Also, Fantastique in Brightwaters.
They are in my town and I have had other bakery items from them and all have been very good. They design beautifully.

Hope this helps.

I second Audrey's, and also Alpine in Smithtown has excellent cakes, pastries, and cookies.
