I guess this really pertains to any age. I'm 38, its my first wedding and my friends don't seem to care. Most of my friends have kids and are leading different lives then me. I'm only engaged 3 weeks and I feel like basically none of them are that excited. One friend that I've lost touch with a little, but have known for 20 years, return my phone call when I left a message that I got engaged with an email with just a few words. Today, I call my friend that I've known for 25 years who's daughter is my godchild and I was her m.o.h. and it was like a bother. I'm not one of those people who will focus every conversation around my engagement/wedding. I don't know maybe I'm P.M.S. ing a little and feeling sorry for myself.

This post came at exactly the right time for me. My BF for years got married a few years ago and I did SO MUCH for that wedding and was so excited for her every step of the way - even though I had just called off my own engagement. Now I am engaged again to the right person, excited about getting married and not even expecting much from anyone, and the little that has been asked of her, she can't be bothered. And I have to say I really am expecting close to NOTHING from anyone so this is a pretty big let down. Its really sad. Luckily I have a handful of friends that are going above and beyond and that makes me realize just how special they really are to me!!!! hopefully a few of your good friends will pull thru. (FYI I am 31....)

I am going through a similar situation. I am 24 and none of my friends even have serious boyfriends. I've been really dissapointed with all of their disinterest with my wedding plans. I try not to talk about it and when I do I only talk about how much fun we are all going to have. I am actually feeling like I don't really have any friends right now. They all pretty much left my engagement party early while my FH friends stayed all night and even crashed in my living room and went out for breakfast the next day. I feel like i need new friends! It's so sad I don't even know where to meet anyone new. Does anyone else get jealous of LIW brides who have like 15 girls in their bachelorette party pics....I wonder if they are all good friends. I think I am having a pity party for one right now.....
