Just curious. My mom loves the song 'In My Daughters Eyes' by Martina McBride, says it makes her think of me. so i thought it may be wrong to use it with dad... maybe dance it with mom.
Just wondering how many people do that.

I'm not asking to dace with my duaghter, I'm just to much of a sappy mom. Being that I'm always in tears, I will be dedicating that song, 'In My Daughter's Eyes' to her.

Since Dad is gone and I asked my Uncle to walk me down the aisle, I'm gonna surprise my mom with a dance with her. I haven't heard this song though, 'In my daughters eyes.' I'll have to try and find it now!

I'm only dancing with my mom (my father's not around). I'm between Kind and Generous by Natalie Merchant and Wind Beneath My Wings by Bette Midler. Guess I'll decide closer.

I'm not. She and dad will wake me down the aisle though. Love her too much to leave her out. When it's time to dance with dad, she will escort me by hand to him. We're dancing 'Because you loved me' by Celine Dion.

Re: any brides dancing with their moms?
I am not danicng with my dad and he is not b/c his mom passed away but I think i wiull have them playThrough the years by kenny rogers and dance with her but not make a big fuss over it .Like i am not goign to clear teh dance floor and it just be us iwill just get her and dance ith her to it. I get emotional thinkinh about it. My dad lived in NY til i was 17 but even so its always been my mom and me. Mys ister moved out when iw as 16 ( she is a lot older) and so we have been through alot th two of us. I think it will be great and we dont have to clear the dance floor( i wont want to make my FH feel badly by having a special dance with my mom or dad and his mom is not here) for it to be our special moment.

yeah, if we do it i don't want to clear the dancefloor either. It can be a special daughter dance. Maybe make it a special dance for everyone to dance with their mothers (its on Mothers day).

I danced with my mom to 'I Am Your Child' by Barry Manilow. She wasn't expecting it and she was totally surprised. Guests I spoke with recently said they were all in tears watching.
Good luck, Donna 10/5/03

You can also try 'If it Wasn't for Your Love' by Heather Headley - Amazing song. Listen to it on
www.heatherheadley.com
----------------------------------------- Would I be standing here After all these years Among the stars above Maybe not, if it wasn’t for your love
Smiling faces all around Like when a king that has just been crowned A battle has been won That I’d have lost If it wasn’t for you love
A fairy tale unfolds More true than stories I’ve been told At last my chance to shine And all in perfect time The life I once dreamed of Who’d have thought If it wasn’t for your love
And oh the wonderful surprise To have a light so bright it blinds my eyes And finally I see, how it feels to live a dream But would I have touched the sky Ever flown so high No not i, if it wasn’t for your love --------------------------------------------- I would like to dance with my GRANDMA, actually. My grandma did most of my emotional raising, my mom and my dad were there, but I lived with grandma and she was the one who took me places and did my homework with me and is paying for most of this wedding. Now that I think of it, I think I will!
