What do you think of it? I want to hear your comments. I'm thinking about doing it.

I think we should start a P90x motivation thread. That way we could motivate each other to stick with it.

i'm doing it. I'm on my last 2 weeks. I've pretty much followed the 6 day work out religiously but not the nutrition guide (no way i'm doing that!)

anyways, I lost weight in the beginning and I've gain it back but FH says it's b/c I've gained muscle. Overall, my clothes are loser on me and my body is leaner. But I do think if i followed the nutrition guide, i would've gotten a completely different result.

btw, i was doing the P90 Lean workout b/c i the P90x workout was making me more muscular than what i wanted. I started the x workout last summer and stopped and i started the lean this winter

What's the difference between the three workouts?? I put on muscle very easily so I don't want to get bulky.

i put on muscle easily as well and FH thinks i'm crazy

that's why i switched it up to the Lean workout b/c it's more cardio based vs. x where it's more muscle building. I would def recommend the Lean version for women over the X.

aggghh, I put on muscle tooo!!!! it is so frustrating

That is why I don't like to strength train - I mainly run and do cardio.

It was nice when I used it to my advantage for a body building show, but the problem I have now is that my back is so wide it doesn't fit in any of the dresses I try on. However, if I use light weight or body weight I found I am ok.

yeah. But I love that my FH thinks I'm delusional whenever I think anything is wrong with my body. That's why I love him. Doesn't help me get motivated to get into shape though.

I did it for 60 days but had to stop once I started looking like a gladiator lol. I am going to start again in 2 months and maybe do the lean this time. I have an athletic build and put on muscle fast too. I figure if I go to the gym and just run now then by the time I do the p90X again, I would tone up and wont be too bad.

That's kind of what I'm doing now. I'm running on the treadmill and doing the elliptical and stair mill at the gym to lost fat and planning to do the 90x a couple of times a week to supplement it...not make it my main work out

Re: Any brides doing P90X????

i forgot to mention that I've been doing Bikram at night as an additional workout - about 4x a week on top of P90. I'm hoping that this will help with the leaning/toning

How in shape do you have to be to do it?

it's really all at your own level - my friend that did it was not in good shape at all - most working out she ever did before that was like playing softball in high school and a couple of mile long runs here and there, nothing too intense.

Re: Any brides doing P90X????

i didnt do P90x but I have done the insanity and will be starting it again in February

The insanity workout is similar to P90x except you dont need any weights or anything...its all floor work and cardio

it is a crazy workout but it really works!!! I got into the best shape of my life when I did it! It is definitely hard but gets easier as you go along with it

It also has a rec diet but I didnt follow it, I ate like normal but just added a protein shake after my workout to help with all the muscles i was killing lol

i highly highly rec the insanity...i had heard from some people that p90x makes you very muscular- never heard of the lean one tho
