My MOH did it at hers....i thought it was nice to thank everyone for coming.

nope, something really informal at RD will do!

but fh just said he'll give one. 'I like to hear myself talk these days' he just said and added in a sing songy voice 'cause Im an @ssholeeeee.' he says weird things when he plays xbox. he's rambling and ive just completely tuned him out!!

I plan on speaking at the Rehearsal Dinner. I think I might say a few words at the reception. I really enjoy speaking in public. I ran for class officers in high school and enjoy the speeches.
I was sophmore class recording secretary, junior class vice president, and senior class historian.

Thats what we did..and OMG did i make a fool outta myself!! For anyone that knows me I HATE w/ a passion getting up and doing speeches!! I swear I can BUT I did it...or tried!!

yup

we are both doing a short thank you to our bp and parents at the RD

and a short thank you for coming to all of our guests at the wedding after the cake cutting

i think its very nice and polite

I will probably at the reception, I mean poor FH waited 10 years for me! I should say something!

NO ONE is giving a speech! It would stop the dancing.... in our opinion, only CAKE is worth pausing the party!

i'm pretty sure that i'm going to say something. I HATE public speaking but i'll suck it up so I can tell my many OOT guest thank you and say a little something in honor of my FH.

Yes, one of us will. I would like to thank our families at our RD and thank everyone at the wedding. We have a lot of people coming from other states and other countries.

Not so much a SPEECH, but I would like to take a few seconds to thank everyone for coming. I like Jess' idea of doing it after the cake. I originally wasn't sure when to do it.
