I'm not form LI. I grew up in Manhattan and Queens. FH grew up in Syosset. We really liked the reception halls in LI, and when I found this site, and saw how helpful everyone is, I decided to join. This site and everyone, and on it, has proven to be a blessing.
nope, i grew up in NC. met FH while he was in law school in NC.

I am originally from Pennsylvania. . . I've been here almost 10 years. . . the majority of my family still lives there. . . and I can't wait to see the look on their faces (this saturday) when they see what New York weddings are like. . . they are going to be floored!!

I was born here. Family moved to Florida, high school in Argentina, back to Florida for college and here since 1995. I love Long Island, it's a shame it's sooo expensive.
I grew up in the Rochester area and have only lived down here since May 2004. I moved down here to be with FH - and luckily for me, I also found a job down here!
Born, raised, and currently reside in Brooklyn.
I'm from Brooklyn, live in Manhattan now.

mine too...i tried to break it to them gently over the weekend about how it will be...but i think they are scared...when i said there was food for a cocktail hour AND a sit-down dinner, they looked at me like i was donald trump's daugther!![]()

I'm BROOKLYN born & raised. Moved to L.I. in Dec. w/ Fiancee. L.I. finally forced me to learn to DRIVE! LOL!

I grew up in Queens and being that FH is not a fan of the city, I was forced to compromise and move out here. Where I am currently though, I absolutely love! It's very Queens-like (which makes me happy) yet still on Long Island (which makes him happy). So we're both good!

Well, I grew up in Manhattan - didn't move to LI officially until my mid-20's - but my dad lived in LI my whole life since my parents were divorced, so I visisted him on weekends....
