mine too...i tried to break it to them gently over the weekend about how it will be...but i think they are scared...when i said there was food for a cocktail hour AND a sit-down dinner, they looked at me like i was donald trump's daugther!

I live in NC now and I can imagine what their reaction will be! All of my friends here are from up north, so it won't be too much of a shock to them!

I'm not from LI......I was born in Taiwan, moved to Spain and finally came to NY, Rockland (upstate) when I was in 4th grade!! So, that's basically my life story in one sentence!!

Born & raised in Brooklyn also, only moved out here in the summer of 2004 to live with DH.

I miss walking everywhere and taking the trains and buses!!! Driving everywhere makes you freaking lazy!!!!

OK. Please do not flame me, but I have to say this. Brooklyn and Queens are still part of LI!! Yeah yeah, they are part of the boroughs of NYC - but look on a map -very much part of the long island landform.

Why didn't you say something last night Nicki?? I was sitting right next to you!!! Where in Rochester did you attend school and where did you grow up in Buffalo - my brother and the rest of my family grew up in the Buffalo area!

yeah i kinda meant not from new york originally when i posted this... then when i put long island and people where saying there arent from long island and from the bouroughs ..fh reminded me that people from the bouroughs do NOT consider it long island even though technically they are on the island if that makes sense lol
