any brides who swing dance

or any couples who have learned how??

my fiance and i really want to learn-- any ideas?

We did it years ago, but hadn't practiced for ages, so learned it pretty much all over again when we started taking Ballroom lessons.
We take them at Dance Obsession in Farmingdale.
It's a lot of fun!!!
We used to dance at Swing 46 all the time in NYC, hope to start again after the Wedding chaos.

Depending on how much you pay. You can get videos that help you out, some of them are fairly priced. You could go to a professional and pay for them, though that can cost alot. Also, the colleges around you may have a ballroom dancing club that is open to non students (for a price). They have this at my old college (not on LI) and it is 65 for something like 10 lessons, however they are not personal lessons. Also, clubs will have one day a week dances lessons for less than 15 dollars a week, but once again, they are not personal.

We are taking lessons in Adult Ed. starting in Oct. I hope my feet cna handle it

hm. There is some swing group that meets around the smithtown area. I went to one of their 'meets' once where they do a lesson and then practice dance all night- I think it was only like 8 bucks or something? They email me like once a week, but my deleted mail is gone this week.. I will FM you the info when I get it again if you want.

I took dance lessons for a year and taught my DH what I could- I bought a DVD from Amazon.com- beginners swing dance, for DH- after that it's all about practice.
