Any Captin Bills 'Bayview House' Brides????
Is anyone planning on getting married at the Bayview House at Captain Bills? I went to see the place the other day and I would like to have any feedback or input. Thanks.

I attended a wedding there this past summer. The place was nice - the cocktail hr was outside on the deck, but to be honest, I was slightly disappointed that there was a plastic tarp covering the top and sides, so even though we were on the water, we couldn't see the water or any boats. But, maybe you can ask the manager if it's always down. The inside was nicely decorated, and the food was great.

I went to a wedding there last June - we had the same thing with the tarp, which actually worked out because it was raining! I thought it was beautiful - and the food was really good.

I've never heard of this place...it is a restaurant or caterer or both? Do they have a website? What is the avg price per person? Where it is? Nassau or suffolk?

I'm not sure if it was recently remodeled, or completely new, but it's located on the water in Bayshore. It's not too expensive - I called last Spring for an appt as a possible place for our wedding, and I think the prices started around $70-75 pp. It's one wedding at a time, which is nice too. They do have a website - try searching under Yahoo.

They are definately not new. My cousin was married there over 20 years ago. But it has been remodeled since then. :-D

My mistake....SOOO sorry!
That's what I get for skimming and not reading the whole thing.... Captain Bill's has been around for a long time. I think the Bayview House is relatively new. I'm really sorry for confusing anyone. I really need to learn to think before I speak. :-D
