Any chance of nice weather in April

I'm thinking about booking Watermill for April 2005. I fell in love with it.

Anyone have experience with nice outdoor cocktail hour weather in April. I would love to have the cocktail hour outside but Watermill said they go up $10 a person for a May wedding.

I wouldn't be crushed if the cocktail hour was inside but....

I think there could be nice weather, you never know and you can't let it ruin your day. I'm sure it will be gourgeous!

I'm also an April bride, and definitely hoping that it will be nice out. The last thing we need is for it to snow.

You can never tell with the weather. As long as your heart is not set on an outdoor ceremony go for april and hope for the best.

We had 2 snow storms in December yet it was very mild on Christmas day.

I am also getting married in April. I would prefer the ceremony outside, however I'm not counting on it!!!

Me too. I really really want the ceremony outside...but I can't control mother nature. I will have to wait and find out if she likes me enough to do me this favor

my ceremony is in arpil at the watermill - i'll let you know in 51 days what the weather is like
there's always a chance that you'll get nice weather...and there's a chance they'll be snow. april is a tricky month...but if you get lucky it's beautiful!!!
last year, we visited the watermill around the time we'd be getting married this year - and it was COLD....we're hoping for a miracle this year

In my opinion there could be bad weather ANY month. You never know, mother nature is freaky sometimes!

My birthday is April 22nd, so April weather stands out in my mind. I remember one year it being almsot 90 a few days before and then raining & being cool & damp on the 22nd.
The heat wave & the year it snowed are rare, though.

Usually it is that damp, recently rained, or might rain later weather or sunny, but breezy.

as long as you don't have your heart absolutely set on something outside, you'll be fine. honestly, for any month i would give the brides this same advice. you can NEVER tell what the weather is going to do. we had a gorgeous wedding day, but the next day was cold and rainy - DH and I remember saying to each other, thank god we picked that saturday and not that sunday.

Thanks for all the advice. I guess any month is a hit or miss thing. The good think about the Watermill is that I love the inside as well. I've just heard wonderful things about the outside gardens.

Tourist- Thanks for the info! It's always good to ask someone about their birthday month. You would remember better than anybody.

My birthday is also April 22nd! And I also seem to remember the weather being generally good that day for many years...

Just book it whenever you want it, the weather is completely unpredictable, I mean what June brides expected that the entire month of june it would RAIN?
And two years ago a friend got married in November and it was GORGOUS! like 75 degrees!

Personally I wanted to get married in April but when we were booking there were no Saturday nights in April available at our hall!!!

Go to this site and put in your date and it can tell you what the weather has been for as many years back as you want I looked at my date and it has been nice (60 degrees).
