That wont break the bank? Unfortunately we are on a very tight budget. My limit is $50. We were hoping to stay away from any type of gift certificate or monetary gift. Please help, i have no idea what to get for a little girl.

Re: Any christening gift ideas?
It's hard b/c I'm sure the godmother will be getting her a cross/necklace. Perhaps a nice set of rosary beads or a bracelet with her name? Do a search for christening gifts on google.

Re: Any christening gift ideas?
MySIL has a store and they sell these kits that have cases for 'baby's first curl' and 'baby's first tooth.' I have seen them around at other places too. I don't think they are too expensive.
If I don't want to spend a lot, I often buy clothes for the baby to grow into. Many of my family and friends who are moms said they got a ton of newborn clothes at showers and as gifts, but not much of the 6-9 month old clothing. Costco has great baby clothes for cheap!

What about getting the baby a bond? If you get a $50 bond, it only costs you $25...and then you could buy a cute little something to go with it...or you could spend the $50, and get a $100 bond.....it's good for the baby's college fund...wedding fund, LOL

I bought my nephew a little gold ring at the flea market and it was only about $45 - I had it engraved. Little girls are so much easier I think. Are her ears pierced? Ring, bracelet (I was able to wear my baby bangle from my godfather until I was about 10!!), earrings...or a little medal or pin (possibly religious)

I'm all for bonds....I think they're great since they accrue over time.
