i have some shrimp cocktail that i would like to enjoy... however, i dont have any cocktail sauce. i know i can melt some butter to dip it in... but does andyone have any other suggestions for some yummy dipping goodness?

You can make your own cocktail sauce with ketchup and horseradish....or just use ketchup and hot sauce mixed together

i have no horse radish... i didnt know you could use hot sauce. what kind? like franks red hot or something?

make a tiny bit of the ketchup with the franks and see how it tastes... if its no good just squeeze some lemon on it and your set to go

Here is another suggestion.
We use it for crab legs, so I don't know how it will taste with shrimp, but if you want to be adventurous try it out. Take mustard and mix it with mayo and add pepper. Remember that mustard is tart, so you can add as much or as little mustard to the mayo, same with the pepper.
