Went their last night in NYC. Lots of dresses and a wide Varity of designers. You have to be ready to search lots of racks. Prices seemed very reasonable and on their website they say they will give you 5% off if you find same dress somewhere else cheaper.

My first fitting will be in September.
My girls are also getting their dresses from there to, they have been very helpful.

rk bridal really pissed me off.

i called RK and asked for an appt during the week, but they told me they do not do that, and i should just come in. so me and my sil took a trip to the city, and stopped in. i put my name on a list and we waited for an hour and a half. while we waited they told me to pick out dresses i wanted to try. when they finally called my name, we had collected 8 dresses. the woman who helped me checked the list, saw that i was an '08 bride, and told me because of this i was only allowed to try on 3 dresses. my sil yelled at her that it was ridiculous. she told us that the '07 brides were allowed to try on 6 dresses. there was a sign on the wall that read 'saturday & sunday, 6 dress limit'. my sil pointed out that we were there on a weekday, so there should not be a limit. the lady yelled at my sil and told me the max. i could try on was 5. sil wanted to walk out but we had already waited an hour and a half so i convinced her to stay.

so the lady is pulling these dresses on and off, rushing me in and out of them. i finally found one i LOVED and i was taking extra time looking in the mirror, and she was obviously getting annoyed. she told me she HATES when '08 brides come in and try on dresses. i told her i am looking to buy soon, and she gave me a look like 'yeah right'

so now i really loved that dress but i don't want to go back there.

:(

We got my dress, my mom's dress, and the BMs dresses from there and had a great experience.

Everyone I dealt with there was very nice and accomodating, the first time I went was 13 months before my wedding.

They ordered my mom's dress for her and she had alterations done elsewhere, same with my BMs.

I had my alterations done there and was happy with them.

I wonder if you had the same sales lady that I had. She was rude like that too. Made me wait an hour till she helped me out and i picked a very simple dress and she said that it was a Gucci knock off!! then she leaves me and helps another lady in a different room!!! I ripped off my dress and left asap.

went there to get my BM dresses as well - but didnt end up buying. Beware of the 5% price match. They will only price match as part of what they call their 'no frills' policy. In this case they will match whatever price you find and 5%. BUT they will NOT measure you, they are NOT responsible if you order the wrong size because of the fact that you measured yourself, you CANNOT get your dress altered by them (they dont allow it), and they will only ship all the dresses to one address or the store and that's the end of their responsibility.
In my opinion their tag prices (not the no frills price) was much higher than other prices and wasn't worth the 'frills.' I am taking my quote to Bridal Elegance so I can get a great price (although not as low as the price match), and she measures and $55 or under alterations.

So thats my opinion on the pricing.
Not a bad place if you just want to go and try on, and the people were nice, especially the woman that helped my mom and FMIL. I just feel the price match wasn't worth it and the rack price was higher than average ( my BM was actually cheaper at Bridal Reflections than at RK on the rack).

Hope that helps. They do have a great selection for trying on.

Actually, the No Frills program is not a bad thing at all. They are offering the lowest price on a dress if you order no frills, so they are limiting their responsibility - less responsibility means less staff has to help you, means they save money and therefore you save money.

We are probably ordering the BM dresses through their No Frills program - best price on the girls' Jim Hjelm dresses that I've been able to find. No tax if we have the dresses shipped out of NY (luckily one of my BM lives across the bridge in Jersey), and shipping is only $7 per dress.

Re: any feedback about RK bridal???

I found my BM dresses at RK Bridal and we were going to order them there...BUT I ordered them through The Bridal Center in Lynbrook. They offer you 10% off BM dresses....so it wound up being 20 bucks cheaper there than at RK Bridal. THe Bridal Center didn't have a sample of my dress there....but they were still able to order it.

Bridal Center
Address: 416 Sunrise Hwy, Lynbrook, NY 11563
Phone: (516) 599-1151

We also got my flower girl dress at Bridal Center and my mom's dress....and they were all cheaper there!

Re: any feedback about RK bridal???

I didn't order anything from there, but I've been there twice to try dresses on and both times had a really good experience.

The first time I went at 11am on Sunday and started pulling dresses right away. I had to wait an hour or so before trying them on, though. I took 5-6 dresses in with me, and the lady even pulled more off the rack (including one off the manequin) that she thought might fit me well. She was really nice (her name was Emily). I read in the Bridal Bargains book that sometimes it's good to fudge your date a little and tell them it's actually 6 months away instead of a year. I think that strategy may work.

The next time, I went on a weekday and was able to make an appointment over the phone. I arrived on time, and was immediately helped by Emily. She and I went through EVERY sheath/mermaid dress they had and even some A-line ones. She walked me around each rack and told me why each dress would be good/bad for me. Then, we tried them on and each time she would tell me what she liked or didn't like about the dresses. She kept going back to the racks to find dresses for me that she thought might look good. I didn't feel rushed at all. I told her I'd come back (I was alone this time) with a friend for her opinion and she said that would be fine and just to come see her again. She said next time I make an appt I can leave the style numbers of the dresses over the phone and she'll pull them for me before I get there so I can be in and out really quick w/out having to find my dress on the rack.

Each time, Emily wrote the dress and style on a card for me so I could go back to it.
