Any GYN Reco for Nassau Co

We will be moving soon (keeping our fingers crossed) and I will need a new GYN. Anyone have a recommendation for someone close to Wantagh with priveleges at either N. Shore, Winthrop or LIJ?

Does anyone use Dr. Polina Kagan - I picked her from my PPO listing and AMA info but I would be more comfortable with a recommendation.

Hi, I have a recommendation but he is in Mineola. I live in Levittown, right near Wantagh and he is worth it!

He is affiliated with Winthrop.

His name is Dr. Levine, he's got a few locations it looks like, I usually go to the Mineola office. Here's some info:

Not sure if you want to travel to Manhasset, but I love my dr - he takes the PPO plan too.....

He's affiliated with North Shore and LIJ I believe.

I use (as do a number of my friends) an OB GYN in Farmingdale. Right off the Southern State on Rte. 110. It only takes me about 10 minutes to get there from Wantagh.

My ob/gyn is a male, but I've been going to him for 7 years now and am really comfortable with him. He just moved from Mineola to bigger offices in Garden City (Garden City Plaza right at the outskirts of Roosevelt Field). His name is Paul Byrne. He is affiliated with Winthrop too and takes lots of different insurance carriers. Forum mail me if you want his address and phone.

My GYN is Karen Weiss and she is fantastic. She's up near North Shore U. Hosptial but worth the trip. Let me know if you want her contact info.

i second dr. levine! everyone at LI women's health care group in mineola is wonderful! they have both male & female doctors.

Sasha: I think mine is in the same office. On Northern Blvd. Right? Her name is Wendy Frost. She's a nurse practioner. I used to go to Dr. Korn, but would always have to wait months for an appointment and hours to get in when I did get an appointment. I've been going to Wendy for years and I love her!

Marcela-I got to the same place! But I see Dr. Korn. I always call before my appoitment & see if there's a wait. I think he is the BEST!!! I went to Wendy once while I was pregnant. She is very nice!

WOW!! What a small world! Dr. Korn is great!!! He's so nice. But I just hated the waiting. I hardly ever wait now that I see Wendy. And I don't have to wait months to see her, which is great because I always call last minute

I see Dr. Seth Plancher in Garden City. He works w/ Winthrop and a couple more hospitals but not sure which ones.
I have been seeing him for over 8 yrs now. Best man in the world!

Another vote for Dr. Plancher in Garden City. He is great -- I'm so glad he'll be delivering our first baby! He just makes me feel so relaxed and comfortable with everything. And everyone in their office is sooo nice!

How funny that so many people share the same GYN!

It seems like the 3-4 mentioned here are the only obgyn's around! lol!
