Re: Any Hamlet@willow creek brides out there?
Me too!!! welcome to the site!! We have a willow creek bride on here from almost every weekend of next summer! so exciting. I am using Tommy Tunes for the DJ which is one of their vendors. I asked Barbara which of their DJ's she really liked the best and she said without a doubt tommy tunes, and to get Frankie or Joe E. we got frankie. We are using Imagine Studios for our photo/video, not one of their vendors but we love their work. I was most concerned about using their recommended DJ because I want them to know how to use the lights for the dance floor.

Re: Any Hamlet@willow creek brides out there?
So far the only house vendor I chose from Hamlet is Roots Florists. I would of went with them anyway because I am very good friends with the owners :)
Lets see for Photo I'm using Turn Loose the Art, they aren't very known on here actually I haven't seen one person use them. They are a cool married couple I found on stylemepretty.com I love their work!
Orignally I want to book Heart and Soul which is their house band, but unfortunately they were already booked for our date So I checked out L.I Sound and they seem really good. I met with Chris who was a doll, but since our best man is great friends with Anthony Falco from elite sounds I think we may be booking with him.
We just found out about the church which I am so excited about. Infant Jesus! Love it! I think it is so beautiful
So I think thats it so far.....About Barbara..LOVE HER! she is great and so down to earth!
Sorry this is such a long post...but I do have one concern...Do you think a DJ will look funny on the stage? When I first saw it I could only imagine a band

hmmm good question... i personally do not love the stage, it reminds me of a elementary school auditorium lol but I think with a dj it will be nice to have their equipment out of the way and more room on the dance floor, i would prefer for it not to be the center of attention like it would with a band, but who knows the DJ is sometimes the main focus too! lol it will be fine either way... but I dont think it will look funny with a DJ on there

We're having our reception there too!! June 19th 2010! I'm so excited, my FH and I loved the place the second we saw it!
We're using Duet for our photographer! Barbara spoke nothing but great things about them! My cousin also had them for her Jan wedding, and they were amazing!
We're going with Sir Oliver for our Limo. He was great from the beginning when we went to look at his limos. Barbara also recommended him, she said he is great!
I actually just picked out my wedding dress yesterday, after going to about 8 different places and trying on a million dresses! So Excited!! :)
Good Luck with planning, and let me know if you have any questions!

I actually have a silly question... its kinda random but maybe one of you knows. I know the hall has table numbers in silver frames with the number written out that we can use. But do you know if we can make our own table numbers but use their frames?? Im going to guess, NO but I hate to buy my own frames if we could use theirs!!
ETA: also, has anyone talked to Barbara about signature drinks?? I assume we can have them as long as they have the alcohol to make them with. I meant to ask her about this but I forgot.

I am so glad that you girls responded! It is nice to know others are getting married there!
I am also using Duet and Tommy Tunes - and the stage I never really thought about it but I guess it is good that the dj will be out of the way.
How many people are you girls inviting to your wedding? I know the place hold up to 240 people but I am nervous that it will way too crowded
I hope all your planning is going well!!!

We are doing a Sat night so we had to guarantee 150. I think 240 might be a bit crowded though.

We guaranteed 160... and hopefully it will be close to that... more like 170 with kids. But I do not think many more than that would fit well. I think the main room is fine but the cocktail hour makes me nervous. If it is beautiful and sunny most people will want to be outside but if its not.... i dont know how all those people will fit inside!! They said all those people will still fit... but its gotta be tight and there are hardly any chairs...ahhh i LOVE the place but this has made me apprehensive from the beginning!! I also want as much food as possible to be served outside to draw people away from crowding the front room. I would love to hear from anyone who has already had their wedding or been to one there!

We are also having some of the CH in the Bar room in the back. It adds a little more space and seating. The set up a divider so our guests can't see the room as they go from the front area to the back. They also have staff letting our guests know that there is another area in the back. Outside probably won't be an option for me-too cold. The CH was a concern of mine too.

yeah thats true, there is the back bar area too, i think that room is beautiful. Im sure it will be fine, they could not sell the place if it was that bad! ive been to several weddings with a small cocktail hour. Many people stand the whole time anyway... as long as the food and bar lines arent too long people are happy!

8/7/2010 for me!! I was concerned about overcrowding in the foyer too. I pray the day is nice so people can go outside. Barbara told me not to have over 200 people.
As far as the stage, I would think it would be better to have the bride and groom up there during the ceremony so everyone can see us!

I am using duet as well - what photographer are you using? I am using Danny - Iloved his pics but I have not heard of too many people using him
I am nervous about the amount of people I am going to have!!! Hopefully it won't be more than 200
I love the back bar area - but hopefully it will be a nice day!
I am so glad that I started this thread - it is so useful to talk to other brides that are getting married in the same place!!!
