any help ???(bit long)

Hi ladies, heres the thing, obviously I am excited about my wedding but I've been kinda 'eh' on the wedding dress. Couldnt really see the point in spending SO much on dresses. I wanted something pretty and inexpensive...that is until I saw 'IT'!

Now the problem is that its WAYYy out of my few hundred dollar price range(under $2500.00) my FMIL says we can but the fabric and take it to a seamstress and have it made for a reasonable price....I dont know???

What would a reasonable price be?

Where to even find a dependable seamstress?

This is the first time I'm actually excited about this part of the wedding, dont want to be disappointed.

Thanks Ladies!!!

who is the designer of the dress? style number? maybe you could find a cheaper version that was pre-owned.

Get the designers info like kristen said, Look around to see if someones selling theirs or someone might be making a knock off cheaper.
If your going to go the route of custom dress maker for a few hundred dollars you could prob get a really good version of this dream dress granted you spend some money on good fabric.

Dont get discouraged you have some time theres no reason for you to settle either.,

Is this it? If so, I'm sure there might be some other designers in your price range that make a similar dress.

YESSSS!!! LOL.. Thats it, I guess I will start looking for seamstresses.. I wish they had a full length pic though so I could see it and take that to them as well. I am hoping a boutique in queens has this one so I can see it in person.

You should check out Maggie Sottero - she has similar dresses that are way under $2500

What about these:

before rushing off to get it, try to find a store that has it in stock and try it on..i was soo in love w/ this Maggie Sottero gown for the longest time, but when I tried it on at the store, it didn't look good on me AT ALL..so i was back to square one!

congrats on finding a pretty gown!

what about this one from davids bridal? The dress is 30 and you could add a belt to give it the beading like the alfred angelo
