Any Ideas....

So I found the Wedding Dress of my DREAMS, but of course, there is an issue. Here's alittle background: The lady at the boutique told me that I can order the dress at the end of the season, and it would then take about 3 months to arrive here. So I am figuring that I will have the dress in Hand around sept or so. But heres the problem....my wedding still won't be for another year and a half! I need help coming up with storage ideas to keep the dress perfect! Anyone have any suggestions? The sales women told me that many women purchase their dress over a year before the wedding without any complications, but she was a saleslady who wanted a sale. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks in advance!

Re: Any Ideas....

A friend of mine was supposed to get married in May 2006. So, she bought the dress and everything but about 6 months before the wedding they called it off. The store has held the dress (for free) ever since and she is picking it up next month. I don't know if they were just being really nice or what.

I had a friend who also was supposed to get married but had to call it off, she had her dress preserved, like many brides do after they get married. I was preseverd in a box, vaccum tight, etc. She is getting married to some one else this summer and is wearing the same dress, its perfect and nothing is wrong with it. So look into dress preservation. Ask the sales lady about it, call up Bridal Suite (they are in centereach and I think bayshore) I think thats where my friend got hers done, or David's Bridal.

Most bridal stores hold your dress. I went to RkBridal and told them that my date is 2009 and they said no problem.
