Any ideas.....

where I could look to have my engagement party? Right now we are planning on having it at my FMIL house and I don't really want it outside since their yard is small and the weather may not be great. FH is from West Islip but i am not familiar with the area.....any ideas of places I could call? I don't want to spend too much....and we are only having about 50-60 people.

I’m in the same boat as you, but different area…if I hear of anything great, I’ll pass it along.

um, I don't know how much you want to spend but when I was looking I got quotes of $32 pp to 45 pp..

I really liked Snapper Inn in Oakdale - they quoted me $37 pp ++ tax and tip, and they wouldn't give us a break if we paid cash..

Also try some country clubs - they're usually less - like Bergen Point in West Bab...

maybe also try La Grange Inn in West Islip, and Irish Coffee Pub in Islip. Oh, and Bella Verde's in Deer Park and Papa Joe's in Deer Park - same owners DELICIOUS food! My friend had her e-party at Papa Joe's and she had about 90 people but 50-60 would be perfect too!!
