i don't think i want to do a guest book, but i'd like something for people to sign or write a message on.
i like to scrapbook...so i was thinking of doing a wish jar or something...setting up an empty glass vase or something w a small notepad and pen next to it, for people to write wishes on and throw in the vase...i could put them in our wedding scrapbook.
any other ideas? or similar? or if you're doing the same thing, how exactly are you doing it?
i'd love to hear other ideas!!

i know i have seen a plate that people have had guests write on...tats kinda different and you will have it forever

I'm doing one of those photo mats...its a wide picture frame that everyone signs and it has a picture of you and fh in the middle. I ordered it from theweddingoutlet.com HTH!!

I am doing my own spin on a photo guest book...since poloroids are too expensive and now being retired.....i am placing disposable cameras on the guest book table with a photo scrap book....where each picture goes there is a spot for t photo and about 6 lines next to each....ill have a sign there asking each couple to take a picture of themselves and write something in the book then when i get them developed i am going to match up each persons entry with their photot and put it in the book :)

IMO I would do that at your shower. I wouldnt take the time at someones wedding to try to think of something to write.

i have a wish book...that was gonna be what we used until i decided on this....there are business card size blank cards that go with it and the book is white....when your wedding is over you put them all in the book....there is a slot for each card.if i can find it you can have it ill send you some pics tomorrow!
my friend did it at her wedding and everyone wrote something and really liked it they thought it was a cute idea!

were having our picture on a signature scroll
our photographer is going to make it for us and people are going to sign that..
its pretty cool and different

maybe with the invitation you can send out a piece of cardstock for them to write something to you both on and they can bring it with them to the wedding and you can have a box there for them to leave the pieces of cardstock and then you can use that to make a scrapbook, does that make sense?

we made a photo book from iphoto and had people sign that with a sharpie. all the pages were filled with pics of us & the last two pages were filled with pics of our friends & family.

How about a signing cloth that can later be displayed as a work of art in a frame. I have a friend who did this and it is such a memorable keepsake. hth
