Hello ladies. I'm trying to get an idea of what to do for favors for my October wedding. I have plenty of time, but I'd like to get the bulk of my wedding planning done, so I am not trying to get things done all in one shot. I am looking for something cute, yet formal for my favors. I am getting married next October so kinda want to see what I can come up with with an Autumn feel? Also, any ideas of how I can set up my place cards?? I'm lost in this department Thank you for your help!

Go check out Jo-Anns, they have all their fall stuff out on display now. I think I saw some really nice lanterns.

I am using those baby pumkins as my placecards holders. Actually my friend is mocking up a sample and is suppose to bring it tonight to happy hour. So maybe I can get a picture and post it over the weekend. I have seen pears and apples also done (not in person only online...Martha Stewart had them too).
I am going to scatter fall colored leaves on the place cards table and maybe even on the dinner tables (gonna talk to my florist about that next weekend). I bought the leaves cheaply at Genovesse in August some time.
For my favors, I am doing wine. Just because I like edible/drinkable favors. I have seen some nice maple syrup bottles, leave shaped cookies and chocolates all online.

Check out those craft stores and places like Genovesse. They tend to inspire some inspiration.
Also, awhile ago a few of the 2002 fall brides were sharing great websites. I have some bookmarked at home.

I also recall a posting a little while back about fall placecards. I know pics were posted w/ a leaf attached to the placecards. Check into that too.

I think that was Teri who posted it...they were really cute!
Attaching a pic my favors to give you a feel of my fall themed wedding as well...I also named my tables different leaf names and had a pic of the leaf on there and used that same leaf for place cards, I will scan in that pic and post for you as well.
