Hey girls, FH and I are looking for RH's on the water (or a lake or something like that) and we ran out of idea's for places to look. We looked at Chateau la Mer, The Riviera and Coral House....I thought of Venetian Yacht Club but they are out of our price range...
Any suggestions?? TIA

My girlfriend got married at Beach Club Estate and it was very pretty and quaint. Great cocktail hour overlooking the water!

Marina del Rey in the Bronx
The Riverview in Hastings on Hudson is right on the Hudson River and has a pretty view
I agree The Riverview in Hastings is really nice and has a beautiful view I work up the block from there, its very nice.
And I live 5 blocks away from Marina Del Rey....thats a beautiful place witha very nice water/bridge view. I've been to a couple of events there and the food was good too.
I am from your neighborhood! Nice to see another BX girl on here! I grew up in Throggs Neck and had my prom at Marina Del Rey. Moved to LI to live with my FH.
The marina is nice and it has that yacht outside now too, which is pretty cool. Definitely a nice view of the bridges and the city from outside.

I second Captain Bills, and also, look up the casino, at Davis Park. I know they are under new ownership (they are right on the ocean), and I think they are reasonably priced. Good luck!!

last i checked their prices ranged between $90-$110pp depending on which ch hour package you wanted. it's an informal place on a beautiful stretch of oceanside beach. they do ceremonies as well.
we also looked at gurney's, the montauk yacht club, the riverview in oakdale (daytime only), shoreham hall @ sound beach, and the old field club.

West Sayville Country Club......
I second the West Sayville Country Club. We have our non pro wedding photos in our album. We got married there on September 29, 2007. It is such a beautiful place. Enjoy looking at the photos.

Nice! My moh lives in pelham bay but she and her hubby just bought a house in silver beach. Even though I live in LI now (moved here 2 years ago), I'm still very much a bronx girl! All of my friends and family are there. The Throggs Neck bridge sees alot of action from my ez pass. Good to see other bx chicas on here too. Good luck with your planning!

Re: Any ideas on RH venue??
The Thatched Cottage is the most inexpensive place around. We had our wedding booked there but unfortunately my Brother is getting deployed to Iraq so we had to change venues and postpone the wedding. So here's the kicker- A great date is now up for grabs! July 4th 2008- it's an opening for a day wedding and it's comes with a discounted price!
P.S. The Thatched Cottage has a gorgeous Gazebo for holding your ceremony which is nestled right on the beautiful Northport Harbor. Imagine the warm July sun and swans swimming by in the harbor! As an added bonus- Northport is the cutest most picturesque town to drive through so your guests will enjoy the sights on their way to your wedding. Breathtaking gardens during the summer and the main ballroom has a full wall of windows so you can enjoy the view even from the inside. Haggle with them for $65 pp if you are interested in July 4th- it's a Friday!

I totally recommend North Ritz Club, they do one wedding at a time and have been wonderful to work with so far and the place is beautiful.
