Yes, i am an indian bride getting married next year, i actually want to start a newer thread for Indian brides who are getting married next year. i have seen other indian threads but i would like to have information for future brides who are getting married next year. Anyone welcome to join in!!!!

Actually, one of my friend is Indian and she's getting married next year in April. I'm trying to get her to sign up for this website, but so far, it has been very unsuccessful!!
I just came back from her Engagement party down in NC (her FH lives in NC) and Indian families definitely knows how to dance, party and have fun!!! I had a blast!!!

and it will be at CHCC as well! congrats!

im currently stumped on finding a videographer, i definitely don't want an indian photographer, they tend to be a bit cheezy....

how is your planning going so far?

I am not Indian, but my FH is! We are doing 2 weddings. (I think I have gone completely insane!) His Mom is doing the Indian festivites for us and we are doing the rest. Any suggestions on catering hall, DJ, florist, photographer, etc, for an interfaith wedding for the Indian portion?

Hi! I'm an Indian bride who's completely new to all of this planning stuff....we finally picked a date for our wedding (7/5/08). I have no idea where to start. We're still looking for a place to have our ceremony/reception...any advice would be great :) I think we're going to go with Sitar as our caterer. People have said a lot of good things about him. So glad to have found this forum.....I'm so stressed already and the real planning hasn't evening begun.

Hi.. I am getting married next year. Would love any tips on photographers/videographers and mandap/florists. Have you guys used Elegant Affairs or Unique Emporium? Any recommendations.

I am using Duval for photography and video. They recently did my engagement party and they were great!!! Everybody loved them and the pictures came out beautiful. I already have other family members wanting to use them for other events. They are american but most of their business is South Asian weddings. The photographer even got the little kids to smile for the pictures (which is no easy task), they also game me a great rate and are very pleasant to deal with.
