I am just curious to get some info on pilates. Did it hurt? Were you really able to reshape your body? Would you recommend it? Thanks!

Re: Any info on Pilates?
I only did mat pilates. I did it for a few years. It is important to do it at a studio that is fullly certified. The instructor I had, did over 900 hours of training. Some people only get certified in a day. You have to be very careful.

Pilates didn't hurt - it resembled ballet to me so I totally loved it. You might feel it the next day, though. I'd recommend it.

I love pilates, but I don't know if it would necessarily transform your body by itself. Maybe in addition to a cardio program...for me it was more mental....I always felt really relaxed when I left.

I've done pilates and liked it - but from what I've read in magazines it is not enough to really transform your body, it really needs to be combined w/ other stuff. But I thought it was a great workout and not insanely difficult.
