so i am in LOVE with this picture of a Jasmine dress and when I go dress shopping its going to be the first dress i try on ....are Jasmine dresses expensive? and how is the quality? i get the vibe that they are one of the cheaper designers but i dont know i am all for cheap but i dont want a poor quality fabric/dress......anyone try on or buy a Jasmine? the picture is in my album. its a jasmine couture #T833. i am obsessed with this dress i hope it looks just a beautiful in person hahaha!
oh and how many girls actually bought a dress that they liked from a picture? im guessing that i probably wont end up with this dress but i am always imagining myself in it and cant wait to try it on
thanks girls!

I got a Jasmine Couture! I love it...on me. there's a pic in my album and honestly, if I'd seen that first..I probably wouldn't have tried it on. But the saleslady insisted it would look good and I feel in love. They do seem to be rather in-expensive....but they also seem to be nice quality.
I hope you love it when you try it on!!

Actually, the dress I ordered was the first picture I ripped out of a magazine. I tried on a lot of others, but once I saw that one, my mind was made up.

My dress is a Jasmine. When I first got enagged and started looking at dresses online and in magazines I knew I wanted one by Jasmine. It cost $1,222 after a 10% discount and before alterations. P.S.: You have FM

I tried on so many Jasmine dresses, and I loved them all--they were not expensive and I was told that you can have them changed to whatever you wanted, which I liked. I think the quality of the dresses were fine--my dress was between a jasmine and a demetrios

Re: any Jasmine Brides?
the quality of the dress was wonderful. I really couldn't believe the price. it was about $1200 but when you add bustles, alterations and such expect to spend $1500-1600 and then theres tax too so make sure you factor that into your budget before u buy...unless u go to jersey...or some city stores won't charge tax either.

Re: any Jasmine Brides?
I saw the dress you're talking about and it's gorgeous! I always loved that one, but the poofy pick up skirt part doesn't look good on me. I wore Jasmine Couture T834 which looks much more beautiful in person! I don't like the pic of it on the website, plus I think the sash they have on it is ugly. I wore a wider sash like on your dress and in a latte color. My gown was $1500 before tax, alterations, etc.
Unfortunately the bridal shop where I ordered it from (in NJ) sent Jasmine the wrong measurements and my gown came in 6 inches too long. The waist was waay too long and narrow. My seamstress had to cut the dress in half, take out some of the length in the waist and practically remade the whole dress. We also changed the neckline to a slight scoop and got rid of the scalloped lace on top because it had been cut crooked by the manufacturer. My dress turned into a nightmare, but at no fault of Jasmine or mine.
If you try on the dress you like be sure to post pics! I'd love to see how it looks on a real girl!!

Ohh I want to go try it on right now! I feel better there are so many Jasmine brides! Lools where in NJ did you get your dress? I live in Staten Island and I dont know where to go.....
everyones Jasmines are so pretty!
ohh also - is it possible to change the neckline of any gown? or does it depend on the designer or does it depend on the seamstress? i think i would love that dress a drop more if it was a sweetheart neckline is that something that could be done? or does it depend on the place you order from?

Re: any Jasmine Brides?
I definitely think you can change the neckline, but you'd probably have to have your seamstress do it once the dress comes in. It's a fairly easy change, at least it was for my dress. That was the ONLY easy change on my dress. I have pics in my album, but only non-pro and they make my dress look like it was all bunchy and stuff. My dress looks MUCH better in my pro pics. Go HERE if you want to see them.
I got my gown at J Bridal in Westwood, NJ. Although I DO NOT recommend them. The girl who owns the shop is only 25 years old. She's really sweet, but doesn't have much experience. Their seamstress S U C K S too! My sister got her BM gowns there and FG dresses and they were all messed up! As soon as my gown came in I got it out of there and went to another seamstress. Look into different shops unless you absolutely can't find another. Maybe you won't have a bad experience but my entire family did, including DH's family!!

excellent news! thanks tilde....i didnt realize your dress was a jasmine! in my mind i would change the sash and would want a sweetheart neckline and maybe more or less pickups depending on how it looked on but thats depending on how much i like the dress once i actually try it! hahaha! but i just LOVE that picture and its the only dress that i keep going back to after i search for pictures.....maybe ill start looking in december around my 1 year mark - it will make feel good since FH and I are not exchanging xmas gifts this year to save $$ for the wedding
