Are you doing anything special for your wedding b/c its labor day.. does anyone have pics of the std's they are using/ used?

I'm a Labor Day bride!!!! We're not having any specific theme but my girls are wearing burgundy/merlot dresses and I'm not quite sure about the flowers but probably some lt. pink roses. I've looked at STD's, haven't decided on the one, but definitely sending them out in January.

My friend is getting married Labor day also! She is doing Euro Red dresses by bill levkoff. She booked the hall , and ordered her dress, and thats it so far!!
She is ordering STD'S this week thats why I was asking for ideas.

I haven't ordered my dress yet or my BM dresses yet, that's the next things to do. We booked the photographer/video, DJ and florist. Good luck to your friend, where is she having her wedding??

The Surf Club in New Rochelle. She just booked it yesterday and right after she booked she went to order her dress! lol DJ and Photographer/video is next week! She picked the bm dresses but the ladies at Macy's told her she has plenty of time to order them so shes not rushing

I'm the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, I'm trying to do a transitional theme. . . a little of summer a little of fall. . but I don't think I'm going to incorporate anything Labor Dayish- its a little hard!

I'm a Labor Day bride as well but I'm not incorporating anything about Labor Day into it. We booked our church, hall, photog/videog, and DJ. I'm thinking of bmaids dresses in a red wine color.

I too (twin) am a saturday Labor day bride, and although it is still summer, I will be using a fall theme. Our colors are Rust (as the stores call it, but I call it burnt orange)a litle gold, and creme for myself. We wil be using leaves instead of rose petals to toss, and dove releases. Our centerpieces will have leaves in them as well, but it will be more floral. The ties on these GM's is my exact color
I'm actually getting married the weekend before your friend at the Surf Club..Aug 26th, 2006. I feel so behing in my planning, no DJ/flowers/photographers. I was originally planning on getting married sometime in late september with the bridesmaids in maroon dresses..but now thats its been moved to late August, I feel like I should pick a more summery color..what do you guys think?

I think you can still pull off the maroon but I really thing more bold summery colors would be BEAUTIFUL

I am going with a summer feel... this past labor day it was very hot...
I'm thinking a blue slate color for the BM's...
I'm not planning on doing anything special because it's labor day weekend... I am looking for something different however, I haven't come across anything that excites me yet.....
