Re: any lawyer brides---pre-nup Q
Andri I agree with you. Like I said in my above post no one knows what can happen. I would rather take the proper steps (just in case) rather than be blind sided. As much as I love my FH and trust him with all my heart no one knows what the future holds. God forbid if he and I were to divorce I know that I can support myself which is why my career and career goals are so important to me. Women who are not educated or have some type of skill to rely on are putting themseleves in a very dangerous situation. It doesnt even need to be a divorce - what about a tragic accident? or death? It happens and I need to know that I can care for myself and provide for myself. My next door neighbor was married a year and a half when her husband had a stroke. He could not work, she had a 9 month old child and thankfully was a registered nurse. She was able to provide for her family and she took care of her husband for 14 years. She bought a house and put it in her husbands name because she thought it was the proper thing to do. A few years later, her husbands sister in law came and kidnapped her husband (claming abuse) and sewed my neighbor for hundreds of thousands of dollars. My point, my neighbor should have never put his name of the house - she was the only one capable of making good decisions and look what happened. My point: NO ONE KNOWS WHAT COULD HAPPEN
