Any 'little house ' churchs on LI ?

I got in my head today that I want an old church , like the 'Little House ' church.

Can you think of any on LI that do weddings?

All I can think of is Grace church on Merrick road, but I don't think they still use that. Any ideas?

I think there is an Episcopal or Methodist church in St. James that is small and quaint. I don't know the name, sorry.

I noticed your wedding is in July...are you concerned about air conditioning? Something you may want to consider when looking for an old church.

I'm getting married at Saint James Episcopal Church in Saint James, this year it is 150 years old, it's cute and quaint. Also someone mentioned the church in Sayville, it's located at the Islip Grange. I took my e-pics there last Thursday. It's definitely cute. PS. Saint James does have A/C, I made sure because my wedding is this August.

Try driving around in Northport - they have some really adorable little churches and you're so close to water that you could do pics there after the ceremony!

I am getting married at Christ Episcopal Church in Babylon. It is a cute little old white church. Looks like it is straight out of the south. They have a website and the people their are very nice.

I went to a wedding at the Historical Chapel in Woodbury. It's on Jericho Tpke.
It was beautiful. I DEFINITELY reccomend it.

The one in Sayville is at the Grange, if you call the Town of Islip, they can give you the nuber for it.
The only thing is it fits only 60 poeple max. It is very small, but so cute. I had looked into getting married there, but it wasn't available in teh afternoon on my weedding date, and I knew we would have more than 60 people.

There is also one on Montauk Highway in Oakdale or West Sayville, which is a lot bigger.

The Searing Roslyn United Methodist Church on I.U.Willets Road in Searingtown is a little old white church, built in 1787. It has that same small quaint feeling as the little house church. My parents were married there, I was baptised and confirmed there, and now I'm going to be married there! It is so exciting! The minister is Reverand Bradley. Tell him Sandy Gramman referred you. Good luck!
