Any Little House on the Prairie fans out there?

For some reason, I have been waking up crack o dawn lately - DH wakes up at 4 each AM for work - including some Saturdays... So sometimes I'm just up and start watching random TV shows...

NOW - I was a HUGE Little House fan growing up - read all the books, watched the shows religiously, hated Nelly with a passion, and looked like Laura Ingalls when I was little, which was the most awesome compliment ever - I even wore braids to enhance the look!

I have to say - I wish I had a dad like Michael Landon!!! Wasn't Pa the best?

I looked like Laura when I was a kid. Braids and everything. My sister was blond and look like Mary. We used to watch that show all the time.

My mom always told us to be like Laura and Mary when she saw us fighting.

I felt the same way

I never seem to catch the Little House episodes though. My Mom didn't know how to do braids so she just gave me ponytails on the sides of my head.

Instead of people calling me Laura like I wanted, they called me Pippy Longstocking.

Soooo much cooler.

I still don't even know what the whole Pippy Longstocking thing was about. I've seen pictures though. I did really look like her. And little orphan Annie. And Holly Hobbie.

I got teased a lot.

Pippy was totally punk rock. So cool. Troublemaker, too. And she had a horse. And a monkey.
Who is Holly Hobbie?

I didn't mean Holly Hobbie, I meant Raggedy Ann. I just got the name wrong.

Wow- Holly Hobbie got a serious makeover.

I watched an epi in Hawaii.

it was the craziest LH ever...is was called Dark Heart or something.

this kid was abused by his Pa when he was a little boy, then came to Little House land and started beating on his grandparents (of course friends of the Ingalls) then of course, he steals Charles watch fob, and all hell breaks loose.

he starts a fistfight with Charles but then Charles tames his angry heart and brings him to church.

it was CRAZY

Naun, that's the one I was talking about. My sister and I got matching Holly Hobbie things for our walls with that first picture. My Mom liked them more than we did.

UGH!!
I was SO upset when Michael Landon died. One of my friends from elementary school told me the news and she used to like Little House also. But she didn't seem upset about it at all-------and I was SO mad that she wasn't upset!

Anyhow, I wanted to be Laura Ingalls also and wore the braids and everything, too.
