I would just go down the police station and explain the situation. Maybe you can just bring a police escort to allow you to get your belongings and leave.

I can't believe someone would do this to their son and his fiance. Thats just unbelievable.

ITA FMIL is batsh!t!!!!!!!!!! However- i would think long and hard about bringing police to her home LOL once crazy is confronted with the fact that you feel that you need police in her presence it might make her fall even further off her rocker. Good luck!!!

holy crack muffins!!! I am so freaking sorry you have to deal with that kind of crazy. If she's holding your stuff hostage you should defiantely attempt to get it. FH had that same problem when he was leaving his ex-wife. His exmother in law took a bag of his and set it on fire...that bag had his highschool diploma, military papers and important documents. I really hope you get your stuff back. I'm praying for you.
