on the beach??

are you using a one of their recommended photographers?

I remember when we signed that they told us their photographers have permits to the beach on the Country Club property. But we are using an outside vendor so I just called the number for the 'recreation & parks dept.' of the Incorporated Village of Port Jefferson to look into if we needed a permit of some sort and the lady told me it was $100 and she faxed me the permit application.

Also we are getting married Sept 14th. It should be the off season right?? The beach down there is so rocky I doubt anyone really uses the beach except for photos like us.

Anyone know anything about this??

that's our beach! yeah, we use it, despite the rocks.... we love it down there....

usually there aren't too many people anymore in mid sept , but if the weather's nice, 'townies' may be hanging out down there.....
I can't believe they charge $100 to take pics for one day.

Out of curiousity, it that for non port jeff residents, or everyone?

I guess it's kinda of like short beach and long beach in Nissequoge. but I love the North Shore beaches still, like you much quieter

I know when we booked Lombardi's back in Sept. of 2005 I had called the town and there was no fee back then -- guess they wised up

the fee is for non-residents, I'm guessing residents don't have to pay. I may have to see if I know anyone in Port Jeff

We were planning to use the beach for pictures but I had no idea you had to get a permit! We're getting married in May so I thought it was no big deal since its before Memorial Day. I have an appt with Lombardis on Sunday, I'll have to check with them.
