Any math teachers out there?

I am studying for the dreaded GRE...I have the GRE books and all those things, but I really want to practice the basic stuff that I am trying to brush up on (example: area of circles, cylinders, etc). Where can I get some practice sheets? The books has more advanced stuff than I want right now (have not taken HS math in 10 years). Any ideas? I have GRE for dummies and the Kaplan review (which is excellent, but they only give you a few examples).

Re: Any math teachers out there?

I'm a kaplan sat tutor, and believe it or not, the math on the GRE is easie then the math on SAT, it just has more steps, so I would try a book or site about the SAT math, because it's less likely to assume you know the math and will break down the basics. Also, thise red barrons review books for sequential math are good..

h BTW, get the book for the OLD SAT..the n harder math they just added to the SAT 05 isn't actually on the GRE (yet?) so maybe for cheap or free you can get a book for the old SAT. Hope that helped. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I havent gotten around to take my GRE yet, but I'm running 790-800 on the math section when I take practice exams, soo...

WOW! Take my GRE for me, please?

I actually have to get my verbal a little higher (an SLP should have good verbal skills). The math drags down my score though. Thanks for the suggestions. I am noticing that when I do the Kaplan lessons, I get it really good, but as time passes I forget. So, I want to practice.

Re: Any math teachers out there?

yeah practice is key!

Im actually holding out b/c my verbal score isn't where I want it. The verbal section is pretty difficult, and I'm intimidated by the essay...I haven't even touched it yet. I wish it were still logical reasoning instead of the essay! GRRRRRR
