Just doing another check on where you are with the planning. We still only have the hall and the band booked. We will be looking at photographers the next few weeks.

Re: Any October 3, 2004 brides out there?
I'm not a 10/3 bride, but will be married the week after you at the same place. We've got the ceremony/reception site booked and the DJ. Not a darn thing else. I thought I was the only one!!

Looks like we are in the same boat jannshari. Have you looked at or researched anything else?

Re: Any October 3, 2004 brides out there?
Well, I'm sort of in a place where there's not much for me to do right now. FH is going to talk to the photographer/videographer that he used to work for several years ago to see if we can get a deal. I suppose I should meet with other photographers so that I have some comparison.
It's a little early for flowers, but I'll probably look in October to get an idea on the seasonal stuff. My mother was a florist, so I'm pretty much going to leave most of that up to her (she's got her definite opinions and it's just not worth it for me to fight with her on it).
My dress I'm hoping to have custom made for free or dirt cheap, but I'm planning on looking at dresses at the end of the month when my sister is in from Texas.
We don't need a limo. We do need a rabbi, so I can look into that, too.
Invitations we have someone who will give us a discounted rate as she is a friend of FH's family and owns an invitation business.
What else am I forgetting? I have lots to research, but not really sure where to go from here since so much may be coming to us based on personal relationships that I have nothing to do with.
The next big thing that we have to do is the photo/video, because they book quickly.

I'm a 10/3 bride. I have the hall, DJ for the reception, and the rings done. I am starting to look into photographers this week and I still have to make a new list of everything else I need to do. I am trying to hold out on as much as I can until my sister has her first child which should be any day now so she can help with the planning.

Veronica,
Wow you have done alot! After I read your post with the lists, I realized how much I have to do. You are a very organized.
I am 10/01/04
I have done: Hall Photo Video My Dress
We had the E-party August 23rd, I just finished all the Thank yous.
Next to do: Engagement Picture STDs DJ Limos Invitations BM Dresses HM
I can't keep listing or I will stress out.
So far, the funniest was the e-party, the most challenging was finding the photographer/videographer.
Have fun planning!

Re: Any October 3, 2004 brides out there?
yeah.. im still not sure if I'll be happy with my photo/video..but im willing to bite the bullet on that one..
everything else.. i basically said if it's over $1000 it had to be booked or put a down payment.
Everything else.. sorta just fell in my lap. (also known as EBay) hehehe..
taking a break for now.. there's a show on Sept 10th i might go to. Not sure yet.. but I'll pick up in about a month.. and try to nail the other stuff out.
I want to be done with all the planning by New Years.. By then I just want to only have to impliment my plans.

I am getting married on October 1 2004... I have the hall, the band and the dress, and thats it. I will be taking care of the rest of it over the winter.
