I've heard our 1st dance song so many times that I think I don't like it anymore FH made fun of it at first (which kind of ruined it for me I think) but now he really likes it. Just wondering if anyone else felt this way? There are songs I like better, but he's really attached to this song now (it's 'I Could Not Ask for More' by Edwin McCain).

There is always time to change it or don't listen to it until the wedding. You will love it when you are dancing with your DH.

YES... we changed our song 3 days before the wedding. We danced to our previous song later on in the night
Although, the song you chose is beautiful

I did feel like that but not so close to the wedding.... My son LOVES that song ( we had the same wedding song) and made up play it over and over and over again in the car until I felt like it was loosing meaning... ( the first time I heard it after being engaged it made me cry!) so I took the CD out of the car and refused to listen to it for weeks before the wedding.
Why don't you look up the lyrics to / download ' I'll be' by Edwin Mccain
I was debating switching to that song b/c its similar and as moving but different.

You know that's the same reaction I had when I first heard it while watching some wedding video on Silverfox's site. But that's how I feel, like it's losing meaning (especially since FH was making fun of it for awhile). I think not listening to it is a good idea.

I never thought I would get sick of my wedding song UNTIL like 2 years ago they came out NOT only with a techno dance remix but a slow candleight remix. I hear those all the time and it kinda makes me sad, but I think it will be AMAZING dancing to the orginal with FH
our song is Heaven by Brayn adams....DJ sammy redid it.

LOL yes I remember!!! I heard it for the first time in Silverfox's office and just KNEW!! even though DH wasnt even with me Luckily he loved it as much as I did.
I felt like I had just listened to it TO DEATH and it really felt like just ' any other song' with no special meaning anymore.
Are you taking dance lessons??? If you are and NEED to listen to the song I suggest downloading the instrumental version to listen too from now on

I know what you mean... originally, we were going to pick this song that we listened to together the first time we went out together..... for some reason, it doesn't fit for me anymore....... I think there are songs that apply better.... Come to think of it, we still have not decided on an official wedding song. Maybe this is something I should think about!

Fortunately we chose a song that we probably won't hear on the radio, unless we take a time machine back to the 40s-50s when Bing Crosby was big! I would go with what you love, though. There was probably a reason for you to chose it....

I am also kinda sick of all the songs we picked (parent dances and our song)--- yet I know in my heart that we have the right songs.

I will not listen to the song - my FH plays only the beginning once in a while. But I don't want to lose that feeling when we dance to it.

Not at all!!!! Thats why we picked a song that isnt played on the radio!
But in your case just put it away for a while so it feels 'new' on the day of the wedding.
