Linkedin is like a great way to find people you used to work with, friends, etc. But I think it's really for professionals - I like it because my old coworkers were able to give me testimonials. Employers post jobs on there, etc. It's just a good tool if you're a career savvy person. If not, then I don't think you'll get much out of it. I'm always looking to meet new people in the field of advertising, marketing and communications. You never know when you need a new designer or account manager, etc. Anyway, just wanted to throw it out there... FM me for my full name if you want to search for me on the site.

You should - seriously, it was so cool reconnecting with people I worked with at my very first and second job - years ago. I'm a lot older than the girls on this site, so my mind is in a different place. We're not having kids, etc. But I think any working woman should always keep her options open and explore as many networking opportunities as possible...
