i didn't think they were snotty. the lady i worked with let me grab as many dresses as i wanted, gave me her opinion but only when i asked, so she wasn't pushy, and they had an AMAZING selection. i was intimidated by the hype, CC holding fee, and all the girls there, but i put at ease but the service and attention i recieved once my appointment began. i ended up getting my dress there!

I think that people have very mixed experiences at Kleinfeld's, depending on who helps them.

Personally, I did not have a good experience there. I had an older woman assisting me, and she was snotty. I showed her a picture and gave her the style number of a Marisa dress that I had previously tried on at Macy's, and wanted to see again. First she said that she thought they had it, then when they didn't, said, 'oh, we don't carry that dress because it's too common ' I was so pissed off. I ended up going back to macy's and purchasing that dress, and was thrilled with it.

i have heard mixed reviews about the palce too . some people had great reviews and some were not pleased. but i figure i would try it out just to try on more dresses..

i was not crazy about the cc thing either and when i called the 1st thing that lady said to me was 'you know our gowns start at 1500 right' and that kinda turned me off a little. but im ging to try it out anyway

That was the first place I went, and the lady was nice, but I didn't find my dress there.

I tried on about 50 dresses (no joke) and didn't find 'the one'...but they do have a huge selection.

I think the problem when I went there was I had no clue what I wanted...I needed more time to see what style I really liked and what was flattering for me!

I loved Kleinfelds, and the woman who I worked with was not snotty at all. I went to several stores first, b/c I wasn't thrilled with the idea of going all of the way from Fort Salonga to Brooklyn for all of my fittings. I brought about 10 pics of gowns I wanted to try on to all of the stores- I wasn't able to try on any of them, just gowns that were 'similar'. When I went to Kleinfelds and handed her the 10 pics, she brought me all of them (in like 2 minutes, it's pretty amazing), and brought me like 15 others that were along the same line, but that were not advertised in magazines.

Happy shopping!

no tuesday at 8:00

thought Idol was on Thurs now.. well, have fun!

You really cannot beat their selection.. Only thing I do not love about it there is the lighting.. you'll see in the dressing rooms-- reg. flourecent light.. When you spend most of your time standing around in your underwear, heels and a long line bra- you need soft light!

I had a great experience at Kleinfeld's, I ended up buying my dress there. My consultant was Audrey, who was fabulous. I brought in pictures and she brought me every dress I wanted to see including two new gowns in similar styles by the designer which I ended up getting! I'm not sure if you can but try to request her if you are nervous about going. I had an experience at another salon where I went there to look at a specific designer but they just kept pushing another 'exclusivly theirs' designer. So I went right back to Kleinfeld and got my dress. Hope this helps.

Yeah, i wanted to cry there. Dont go during a truck show because they rush you right out. It was the first time i went to look at dresses, the lady picked out the dresses for me, didnt make me look throguh the racks and told me to make up your mind, because it didnt like what she brought out to me. Really farty dresses too, i just think she was trying to push off the ugly ones. And the dresses where all ivory color. I think it was actually a sample sale. i was only there 45 minutes. I timed. Then walked out with knots in my stomach and told my Mom i wanted to go because i wasn't feeling good. Maybe i wish i had a different girl or lady to help me. I'll never forget it. I think i remeber her name, if you want to know FM me.

I went and I had an 'okay' experience. I didn't think it was as special as I had heard.

I did feel a little pressured by my sales woman, that is what turned me off. She did get annoyed when I told her I wasn't ready to make my decision.

But I guess it is all up to the person that helps you.

this is my 2nd time im going to try on dresses
so im not really looking to buy anything right then and there. im the tpye of person who needs to sleep on it i cant make quick choice.lol

but they should understand that girls needs to try on alot to know what they really want and not pressure you into buying something i know they work off of commision but this is a big day and you cant rush a choice like that

I bought my dress there and thought the service was excellent from the moment I bought the dress, went to my fittings and took the dress home.

The dress I bought was actually the first dress I tried on and I couldn't of been happier! I love my dress.

I highly recommend them. They were very professional with me.

Re: any one been to KLEINFELDS?????

I bought my dress there which I actually have b/c I bought the sample of a couture gown which was half price than it would have been if I didn't purchase the sample. The first woman I worked with (Margaret) had no patience with me. I went with my sister and I told Margaret I wanted to look at sheaths and form fitting, lacy gowns. Then, after trying on a few of those and not liking them and not feeling like a bride, I (pursuant to my sister's suggestion) started trying on a-line gowns and then ball room gowns (I ended up with a ball room gown). Margaret kept saying, 'I thought you said you didn't want ball room gowns' over and over again, to the point where I just had to say to her 'listen, Margaret-I told you a dozen times now, I don't know what I want-not should I. I have never done this before, never tried on a wedding dress and I have the prerogative to change my mind.' Only after I gave her a piece of mind did she change her tune. I felt like I was interrupting the 6 cigarette breaks she took while helping me. I would, obviously not recommend Margaret. Before my next appt (with my mom) I specifically requested not having Margaret as my bridal attendant and they gave me Lea who is wonderful. I worked with her and Ronnie, the owner who is also a doll. I suggest making an appt with Lea. Overall, my experinece was a very positive one. You just need to let them know who is in charge (FYI-YOU!!!). Good luck!

Some people get real lucky i guess. I'm sure it does depend on the lady. My lady was a very annoyed, it was a small petite lady with blond hair and alot of makeup, in her 50's BTW. if you FM me i will be happy to let you know who it was before your appt.

My consultant was Audrey as well, she was very helpful and not pushy, I went to Kleinfields by myself it was my first bridal boutique experience and I ended up buying my dress on a spot! Sounds very unreal, but this is a true story I bought the FIRST dress I tried on,
I look through dozens magazines before hand, when I found what I like the most I made appointment with them and my dress was a sample dress and on sale! It was just perfect and fitted my budget -Yulia
