I'm having issues with my neck (aches, tightness and tension headaches) and I think going to one might be good for me. (b.c $100 massages aren't cutting it and insurance will pay for the chiropractor)
Does anyone else go to one? what do you go for? what do they do to you?

i do 3 times a week and i love him. i feel sooo much better i had a bad back injury
I have scoliosis so my back is often aching...there was a time that I went to a chiropractor, but it seemed that I became dependant on him...a day or two before my next visit, my back would go out...and Id be in pain...
I finally gave it up, when I moved from that town - and was too lazy to find a new one - and my back is more tolerable...I would recomend a physical therapist...you may have to go to a orthapedic or sports doctor for your insurance to cover it...but I found that working out my back muscles was what helped me the most

I do...I pulled my back out last week and I have to go for the next few weeks!! It feels sooooooooooooooooo much better!!

I do. I'm actually going tonight too. I've been going since I was 19. I go twice a month now.
I also have neck problems - stiff neck, tight traps, tension headaches. The best thing for that is trigger point therapy massage. It's $75 a pop, but it definately works. You may not need to go to the chiropractor. You may just have tight muscles. If you go to a Physical Therapist, they can help you with stretches and exercises (or, you can just buy a book on stretching). And I believe insurance covers Physical Therapy.

LOVE the chiro. I have gone on and off for many, many years. Because of the pregancy stuff I am back on right now and sleep sooo much better after going.

I do and I love him! he does A.R.T too and takes my sinus headaches away as well as neck and back pain

I did after a car accident. He really helped me with my lower back and my knee. My knee had the worst injury. After a while I was feeling better and stopped going.

I had the same experience as Yabbobay. I went after a bad car accident and he made me feel much better. The next day though, I'd be in pain again and at his office. I had to stop going bc we started dating (how weird is that) and I realized that I actually felt better without the treatments. I do a lot of exercise which seems to help instead.
