I'm checking out every place on Long Island... literally
check out the brides review - someone who was married there posted her review ...
ditto to wc0143's post - also if you do a search you will see other reviews.
My cousin got married there a couple of years ago and it was beautiful! The food was very good.. it's not too big, I don't think it can handle a large crowd.
I wanted to get married there b/c my family owns several of the cottages on that street and I grew up there. The place is beautiful, but they are expensive and only accomodate smaller weddings. I don't think anything over 100. I would say it is worth it though. The place is gorgeous, food is great and some great places for pics too. Good Luck.
My mom goes to retirement dinners there pretty frequently and says it's gone down hill (food and service). I actually really wanted to check it out because it was the kind of atmosphere I was looking for and in a good location...but they were really bad about returning my calls and not very nice when they did. They wouldn't budge at all on price (about $125pp for a Saturday night), which I thought to be really incredible considering I was getting married in the middle of February and planning really late (I called in early October). Most places bent over backwards for us because if they hadn't booked the date already, they werent' going to. I just didn't get a good vibe from them.
